this photograph is taken near signal hill. It's location is on an old road called Burma Road which leads down to Pleasantville (a world war two American military base)which closed in nineteen sixties .
From what I am told this is a bunker and use the store ammunition during the war . In fact my father said they found treasurer from the seventeenth century near this location , a gold cross in fact.
many pirates such as Peter Easton used to frequent our island and treasurer was a commonplace.I heard many stories of treasure buried here as I was growing up . However I never found any yet ?

Very interesting piece of history, Jim. Good composition placing the bunker to the right, and I like the detail and texture in the door and frame.

Pretty interesting historical note Jim. Composition angle is thought out well here, to give the entrance a rather dynamic look, instead of the frontal door shot. The ridgetop and blue sky makes a nice "framing" of sort to the shelter.
