Photographer’s Note

“Christmas Swans” is the name of this photograph and it was taken tonight at Bowring Park. This is old Christmas day and the last night for Christmas lights to be displayed. As you can tell from this photograph, the Christmas lights are reflecting in the water.

There were a number of people with their pets walking around the pond on this beautiful mild evening. This little pond called “the duck pond” Can be a very busy spot, morning, noon, and early evening.

Hi, Jim, That is a very interesting light reflection on the swans, and the two of them are well posed for the photo. However, the light is reflecting off too many things over too much periphery to let the eye rest peaceably on the pair. I think you could have made the focus on them much tighter by cropping out the foreground ducks and the half-inch or so on the right edge of the photo up to the rock.

Other than that, I like the reflections on the water of the birds and the lights.
