This photograph was taken today . We finally got snow , only 12cm . During our walk behind their house , we noticed these winter caps and decided to take a picture .
Before our walk , we had to clean our driveway with our snow blower . Winter is here !
This photograph was a sharpened, and autos levels were used for color . I hope you enjoy .

Brrrr! Must be freezing out there! The composition is excelent to me, looks like a cotton tree. The background snow color is well mixed with the so-white snow, and the benches are also great.
Note: I took a few seconds to realize that the background was snow (my first thought is that it was the sky.

Cette photo étant prise sur la côte atlantique, je présume que vous êtes francophone... C'est bizarre de voir les branches parfaitement nettes et le flocons un petit peu flou laissant croire qu'il s'agit de l'ouate. Photo originale. Bravo!

Wonderful ! We also have snow in France (sometimes !) but I never saw these "caps". The blue/grey backgrounds adds a lot to the pic. Congratulations !

This is the 4th time I come back to this page to see your picture. I look at it again, just to give you a nice comment, but I keep wondering "in" your image and I cannot spell a word. It's just too wonderfull of a picture. You captured a nice little detail of our world and brought it to all viewers in TE. Thank you.

I didn't know you had cotton fields in Newfoundland? :-) Great lighting on these puffs of snow Jim....enjoy them while they last before the wind harvests them.

Jim, that is a fine shot! We expect our snow on Saturday here in Athens Greece but I know it will be a mild one.
Just one word on Auto Levels... hmmm, personally don't like them and reason is that they eliminate many valuable information fron a photo. You can understand that right after you open the Levels Tools (ctr+L) and when you press auto you will see all this "white lines" on your imagegram. These lines simply mean LOST INFO!
If you really want to "level" any image try either to do it by hand, selecting different tone/light areas or -better- go with Curves Tool (ctr+M) where you can change the input/output percentages apply light nodes and get better results.
The difference between them is very simple. Levels -especially Auto- are very easy to use and are good for Web Images (72dpi). Curves are a pain in the @$$ to achieve but give you much better results especially on 300lpi images for big prints!

Can you help me download the pictures? If I right-click on the picture and choose "Save picture as" is been saved at a very low resolution. Is there any other way to do it so as to save them at a better resolution?
