This is a traditional Newfoundland and Labrador meal .It consists of the following : turkey , dressing , gravy , carrots, potatoes , greens , peas putting , salted beef , turnip, and parsnips . On some dinners , like mine , I have cranberry sauce .
Unfortunately I took this picture at a low resolution , mainly designed for e- mail.I tried to sharpen up the picture as best as I could . The picture was cropped as well . I hope you get the idea that this is called a "big feed " . In fact , I am starting to get hungry now .

Nice shot! The note's very informative too. For those outside Newfoundland/Canada dressing = stuffing.
The plate is slightly overexposed, but it's difficult to balance exposure well in this sort of situation - the plate is very pale, and the food is quite dark. From the reflections I guess you were using a flash? Natural light tends to make the exposure easier to balance.
Anyway, good job :-)

Sorry everybody but no question here to rate this for the picture, i'm giving pointts because of the food :)))
It's so good! I've never tried with the cranberry sauce but I'm sure it only adds to that very simple yet excellent dish.

I have learnt so much about Newfoundland since you joined TE. I have enjoyed your photos immensley. Posting one of your traditional Jiggs Dinner is a wonderful idea. I love and make salt beef dinners, but the meat is very expensive to buy in Brampton. What is the "brine" made from?
As far as your photo goes, I like the way you have filled the frame with the plate and food. Well seen, well taken, well eaten. Ooooh! I would like just ONE forkfull.
