If you are in St.John's most people will ask if you have visited George Street or not. So I too make a point to be there.
George street is known for its many bars and pubs. In fact, going by per sq foot it is the street with the most bars and pubs in North America. Most of the time this street is open to pedestrians only and traffic are only allowed in from 8.00a.m. till 12.00 noon for loading and unloading purposes.
This street is only busy between 12 midnight to 6.00a.m and apart from the bars and pubs it is also famous for its hotdog called "Mullet Lady"

i know this area very well.
was your ISO reading high? looks like there is alot of noise in the scene.
but you managed to capture the colours, the atmosphere, the strange characters on billboards..everything about the street is seen here..except for the drunk people!

This is such a colorful street scene with big posters and striking colored wall. Love the close framing bringing out the artform in the frame. Thanks for sharing and kind regards.

Air Conditioning in Newfoundland - you have to be kidding! I wonder if they change thier signs during the other 11 months.
Nice shot though in a fun area of St Johns. Its a well laid out compostion and very colorful. Too bad about the high ISO noise, it looks like it was in the shadow - I wonder if the camera was on auto ISO. In your menus, there may be a way to limit the highest ISO setting it will go to.
I did a workshop to try out my new Photoshop plugin, Topaz Denoise. It worked with limited success on this one I would say. My workshop fix is here:

I am attracted to red color at thumbnail really, good ideas and approach! Lovely capture in tight framing just focussing on this nice colorful street building and its many eyecatching signs. However, frankly I feel that few corrections are need and most evident is the noise, and others will work out just fine. Good capture, congrats. TFS
