“Old Road” is the name of this photograph and it shows an old road to Petty Harbor. It was probably used over 60 years ago and now is a path for walkers, cyclists, ATV users. This road is very rough in places and, if you look closely, you can see the tracks of the ATV’s.
We walk this path on a fairly regular basis and it is removed from the hostile and bustle of city life. In fact, it is a wonderful place to take photographs. There is a hill on the left of this picture which I walked this morning. Suddenly I saw a large grouse; I focus my camera, moved a little closer, but he went to wing.
I rushed towards him, with the camera ready, however I lost my footing on a muddy bank and fell on my back in the mud. Needless to say I never got a picture of the fine-looking bird. But there’s always next time.
The sun was popping in and out of the clouds all day. As I was taking this shot the sun suddenly appeared causing the sun streaks.
This photograph was level adjusted, and saved for the web.
