Photographer’s Note
“Winter Bridge” is the name of this photograph which was taken behind our house in scenic Mount Pearl. This wooden bridge is part of my daily walk most of the year except when the snow gets too deep.
The tripod was planted in the snow on the sidewalk and several shots were taking using different shutter speeds.
It is hard to believe that winter is not officially here! Some say we’re going to have an old fashion winter which means lots of snow for at least six months. So much for global warming, I guess we’ll get climate change.
The following cameras settings were used:
-Shutter speed 1/5
-F-stop 32
-ISO 100
-Focal length 44 MM
-Shot in at aperture mode using a tripod.

HI Jim,
Nice exposure on the water .. and control of the white .. I love the snow laden evergreens .. Love the way the bridge fits into the frame .. I wish we had a bit less clutter from the leafless stuff .. but still very very nice.
take care,
John

Having driven by this area many, many times, I always thought it would make for a great photo. Looks like winter did come early, and a great job to capture the bridge surrounded by the snow covered trees. Exposure was just right to allow the snow to look natural and not too bright. Rodney
