Photographer’s Note
“In the River” is the name of this photo which was taken yesterday in a river behind our house. The tripod had to the place in the river while I was standing on slippery rocks. It can be risky sometimes to get a great vantage point.
Several shots were taken and I carefully climbed to the walking trail beside the river.
The following parameters were used:
-Neutral density filter
-One second shutter speed
-F. stop 13
-I S. O. 100
-Tripod
-A pair of old running shoes while standing on the slippery muddy rocks.
The photograph was level adjusted and saved for the web.

Exposure time here is long enough to have flowing water blurred.
I think the photo would look better taken from slightly higher, pointing camera down to the waterfall, rather than have it nearly horizontal. That way more water would be visible. Certainly it's not possible with small tripod.

From the note, I understand that you expensed much effort to capture this picture. And the picture has turned out excellent. I liked the color of the flowing water and fall trees.
you could make a shot with angle pointing camera up. That could give some height for falling water. A water fall with height is always nice to watch.

I like how you got right into the river for this one, great POV to capture the fall colours and the motion of the water. Not sure what I would have felt sorry for the most, your camera or you falling in the cold water.
