Photographer’s Note
“Sights and Sounds of Summer” is the name of this photo. This beautiful little stream is down behind our house. Using a B&W 102 neutral density filter 0.6, and a small aperture, f 22, and a shutter speed of 1/5 created this affect. I’m surprised to see hardly any dust particles on the sensor. This photo was taken directly into the sun and the neutral density filter is a nice thing to have.
I decided to keep the branches on the right and left in the frame to lead ones eyes towards the water. Maybe the top section is a little too dark?
We feel very lucky to have such a beautiful scene behind our house.

Hi Jim,
You almost said it all yourself in the note and I agree with you. The only thing I would add would be the out of focus foreground leafs on the right, which I actually think irritates the eye :) Nevertheless I like the scene and you canadians are indeed lucky to have such a beautiful and diverted nature in your backyards.
Cheers,
