“Cold Cape Spear” Is the name of this photograph taken today and the temperature was 5°C. However there was a very cool wind blowing.
This photograph was shot in Raw, converted to Tiff and then to JPEG. This is a view from the parking lot looking up at the buildings. The building on the far right is the old lighthouse and one on the far left is the new lighthouse.
As you can see, we still have lots of snow.

Hi Jim, I like the composition in this shot, the front portion without snow, and with the large rock on the left plays a very effective base. The snow covered area rises on an angle against the sky, from right to left ending with the lighthouse, so everything kind of leads us to that lighthouse. Colour is good, and I like the detail seen here, both in the highlights area and shadow regions. Contrast might be just a tad higher, but with a low contrast it gives the feel of a "warming" type of winter day, where there is a bit of a mist in the air. I played a bit with it. I like the higher contrast, but this might be a little more realistic.
