Photographer’s Note

The Bay of Fundy, on Canada's eastern shore, is know for the largest tides in the world. Having heard that for years I ventured here back in 1989. How do you capture that with a still camera? Well, I happened on this image, just down from the campground -- boats on a dock waiting for the tide to come in. (I have a second shot taken about 6 or 8 hours later showing them floating. That's a great comparison, but for a single shot, I thought this was the one...)

Scanned from a 35mm negative. Some dust cloned out, a contrast adjustment, and a sharpen.
