Late December 2007, Dubai Creek, an abra (Arabic: عبرة) drifts past on its way to the other side of the creek with another load of passengers.
It was a satisfying place to photograph.
In addition to the small boat, the larger dhows (Arabic: دهو) in the background prepare for their longer voyages to the Indian sub-continent.
Even if the garish modern buildings don't distract from the atmosphere of the traditional boats.
A great place to visit, the creek provides a wide range of photographic opportunities. |

Hi Russel,
Nice capture of the side of Dubai many of us don't imagine. This photo, as with many others in your gallery, I think would benefit from being exposed a tiny touch less, sharpened and/ or with a little more contrast added. That perhaps sounds a little critical, but they are all nice shots - perhaps give it a go?
