Photographer’s Note
My fifth entry to the Turning Autumn Hunt - on the Mealtime category.
I found this camel standing near the road, chewing a fresh piece of straw. I stopped the car and opened the window. He/she was so busy with his/her meal, and didn't pay any attention to me. He was so close to me, That I could smell his breath.
I took several photos, using the widest position of the lens, with the built-in flash.
Taken not far from the Dead Sea .

The camel certainly seems oblivious to your presence, Yitzhak. Good detail especially on the hair. I like the blend of desert colours, topped off with the purple-ish sky. Well seen.

Nice diagonal composition, Yitzhak, in yet another original entry for the hunt. The definition and detail on the camel's skin is very good, as is the DOF towards the desert-ish setting in the background. The camel sure does match the desert color setting. Fun shot.

Hi Yitzhak,
Great "protrait" photo. The color tones are great.
Well done

I like the harmonic colour setting of this image the background and main motif fits nicely - you did a fine job here Yitzhak - and I can image the "smell" ;-)

I would try a lower viewpoint to get the camels head against the clear sky, instead of the sandy cliff. Still pretty good though. Well composed.

Nice catch and excellent tight crop, it builds a fine diagonal, good shallow DOF, there is a nice warm overall tonality too. A definitely fine entry as "meal time" to the scav hunt Yitzhak!

Bien belle image de cet animal que je connais mal et qui m'est pas très sympathique, probablement par méconnaissance. J'aime cette homochromie entre l'animal et le désert en profil on pourrait presque parler de mimétisme. Amicalement/jr
