Photographer’s Note

Sanliurfa is a big city which can be found on the southeastern part of Turkey on a map. Photographers find the place quite attractive with it's historical monuments, old streets, and bazaars.. Some say it is closer to Syria than Turkey. Here I shot from the balcony at
" Gumruk Han " in an open air café taking place in the courtyard of an old caravanserail. People are sipping teas, eating simits ( Turkish doughnuts ) and playing dominos old day long. The simit boy was interested to sell his merchandise, but was watching the game as well..

Great PoV. I was also there but did not think to go up to the balcony (I posted one from this place yesterday)! I really like bird's-eye-view, the motion of the man and the empty space. Why not crop a little from the right side, just to keep the texture of the ground constent?

Hello Masterful, this photo has what always attempt to shape in a photo-news article, a sense, a message, a history, also I like the movement of arm of the player when planting his card in the table and the detail of the boy with his doughnuts an enchantment, the taking from above already finishes finishing off a good work.

Merhaba, benim de bir Gümrükhan fotom var. Domino oyuncusunun ifadesini çekmeye çalışmıştım, ama istediğim gibi olmamıştı. Yukardan çekmek hiç aklıma gelmemişti. Böyle çok daha kapsamlı ve vurucu olmuş :)
