She was playing in the street with an elder boy, her brother, a neighbourg, I don't know... I have been immediately mesmerized by her beauty. She seemed like a little Marylin Monroe to me. She seemed very confident in front of the camera. A blessing.
I almost felt guilty of my luck when an old yemeni man came and tried to attract the two kids with sweets, to get them away from me. Visibly, he didn't like I was taking pictures of them and tried to daunt me. I was puzzled. I am not a paparazzi! I always try to be very respectful of my "models" and close from the people.
And I try to share out with them paper prints of their pictures, when I take portraits. That's what I did later. Or at least, tried to do.
I always prefer to walk randomly to discover a city, which makes it often difficult to go back to a place I have already visited. To find out the right area in the old town and to locate the people becomes like a private investigation.
In her case, it became like playing hide-and-go seek.
When later, I made my tour in the old Sana'a with Abdusalem, to share out the paper prints; when we have scoured the streets, asking contributions from dozen of people in the streets, kids or adults, to help us in this quest; we found almost everyone. Except her.
No way! Nobody could identify neither the building behind, nor the street, let-alone the girl or the boy on her side...
We didn't spare our time and energy to find her, but in vain.
Cinderella's prince has been more lucky when he went from door to door with a shoe to try ... I should have known it...! And that's probably what I should have done... |

Hi Marine,
Yes, Cinderella waits the moment...
As you see, she has the STAR LOOKS.... like Marylin Monroe , a little M M .
Good shot, and fine presentation.
The tones enhance the moods of bygone days...
Excellent presentation.

Salut Marine,
Quelle merveille, cette image de petite fille bien mignonne !
J'aime bien ton traitement un peu vert, qui rehausse le rouge, tu as fait quelque chose de spécial ?
Bises
