Photographer’s Note

After sharing with you view of one of the least visited countries in Middle East, I go back to my Yemen series. This photo was taken at the same place and same time as this one . There was a group of boys playing soccer in wonderful light conditions.

This is just great Lucie. The golden fog once again, but this time enhanced with a magical football game. Much much better than the other one. The way the light delineates the kids keep on amazing me. Great compo with the goal rectangle in the right place. Stay safe, l.

Your previous post was great, but as a football fan, this means even more to me. Wherever I travel, I am always amazed by how universal the fascination for this game is. Intercultural communication? Football!

Wow, what fantastic light! The backlighting of the dust allows us to "see" the atmosphere, and gives the whole image a golden glow. The silhoette of the goal and the boys really stands out well against the bright background. Beautiful shot!

The FIFA would probably love this one showing that the game cann be played anywhere and in any conditions. The light is superbe and I like the movement of the sand rising up as well as the ball in mid air.

Hi Lucie ! Extremely beautiful atmosphere. I love those golden tones, the framing of the goal structure, the dust stains and the slightly tilt. Though, I feel the scene is a bit unbalanced. I wish there were one or two guys on the right top hand of the picture to add a more balanced perspective to the scene.

I think you have a most impressing series of photos Lucie - just as this one. A most simple daily life scene captured just under the best light and including the right portion of activities - all ending in an outstanding result from this most genuine 'football field' in the fading light of the day.

What a great shot! I love the luminosity here, which adds a nice yellowish tone to the photo and illuminates the sand close to the feet of the children. Great work!

When I'm looking at your pictures I feel the urge to delete all of my uploads here (well, maybe I'd save the Highland cow,because this poor animal doesn't deserve this fate ;))
You have a real talent to use light, moment, shapes to frame great pictures. Ideally exposed, with a touch, with emotions.
Actually I should have written it under more of the pictures, but I'm too lazy tonight. Surely I'll come back again to see more.
