This is Bab al-Yaman, Yemen gate, the main entrance through the wall that encircles the old part of Sanaa. Just inside the gate is the main market place Suq al-Milh, which I showed yesterday.

Hej Gert,
Are there no women in Yemen? So far you´ve just showed us a lot of men in your photos. Fantastic architecture and a fine picture of daily life in Yemen.

Very interesting shot here, the washed effect makes it look like an old photograph and everything about the people adds to the feeling. The detail is really great and I suppose the film it was scanned from is the reason; must be a great photo.
