| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
After having walked through the maze of small streets within the "Old City" of Sanaa, I was able to get onto the roof of one of the old dwellings.
Only once I was above the streets did I really get a feel of the size of the city, which exuded its ancient history. Although the physical dwellings were not particularly pretty, I found that I was taken in by the overall charm and mystery of the place.
This one image provides me with a good reminder of the feel of this old city. |

Quite a nice capture of the feeling of the city.
Details such as the person on the rooftop, the winding street below that seems to be lined with merchants stalls and the fine architectural details add to make the photo interesting. Feels like it is getting warm!
This is a nice photo of a city I really want to get to. You've shown it well here with the hill in the background, and the lower buildings in the middle followed by taller ones.
Good shot.
Yes, I agree with nrae. Really good catch with the man on the roof and winding street. Brings back memories.

Hi Grant, this is a good shot of one of the world's unique cities. One gets a feel for the place with your shot - interesting detail in the narrow alley, shop awnings, and of course the strange architectural detail. Good work!
