Photographer’s Note
Actually, the fish market was closed that day because of presidential elections. However, this friendly boy and his friend were determined to show us ... some fish, knowing that this is what we came here for. He was able to somehow get this fish from some fisherman to pose for this photograph.

Great play with DOF again. I managed to creat a spectacular composition. The happy boy in the background is really appealing ! Well done Krzystof !

Hello Krzysztof,
Je ne sais pas exactement pourquoi mais cette photo me plaît...Une belle photo, j'aime beaucoup les tons, la lumière, le flou et l'utilisation de la diagonale.
Regards,
Stéphanie.

Hi Krzysztof,
Very interesting DOF; I like it, especially how the most noticeable parts of the boys are the eyes, but I almost wish that at least the front fins of the fish were clearer. I like the close crop as well; it makes it seem that the fish really is right in front of me. TFS,
Chelsea

Nice daily life picture!
I enjoy the look of the child's face that seems so lifefull and sincere!
Thanx

Very good, fish usually make wonderful photographying subjects as they reflect light very dramatically.
The nice thing is that taken in a diagonal direction, it structures quite strongly the photo, also the kid's move dynamizes the image.
I think this is primarily a BW photo. If you convert it correctly, taking care of contrast and adding some density where it needs to (top left corner), it could make a decent wall hanger.

Great shot Krzysztof. The DOF is superb, and a beautiful composition also.
The second boy is absolutely superb as he acts as a great barrier so the focus never leaves intended areas.
I love it, great title also, capturing the gesture and the facial expression perfectly.
Great work.

Lovely DOF as you have concentrated on the fish head and left the rest blurred, I like it

This kind of sends me back to when I was a kid. I kind of learned to swim almost at the same time that I started walking. I was a lucky kid in the sense that I ate fish once per day, each day of my life until I was an adult. Perhaps, in fact, I even drunk fish milk when I was a baby... I'm still a fish man and I don't believe in ANY restaurant that would serve me a fish WITHOUT its head...filets de perche, de saule, aso.., c'mon, you must be kidding..

Awesome shot Krzysztof!
Your DOF combined with a perfect composition makes this shot really stand out.
Magazine material my friend- well done!
Have you ever tried adding a 2 pixel thin black line around the picture? I find it presents really well with a white border like this.
All the best!

Very nice photo, great use of DOF and mixing the sharpness of the fish head with the blurred faces of the kids. Well-composed overall. TFS,
Roy
