The magic glow of a sunset over Old Sana.
At sunset time from the terrace of Old Sana Palace hotel I was captivated by the magic atmosphere of the place...
Yemen is a great place! Suddenly you fall upon in a Middle Age country with great atmosphere and Sana is one of my favourite capital. At night, walking on the narrow streets the windows peeping with alabaster colours, blue, yellow, green... it seems to walk inside a crib.

Hi Luca - the Algeria trip is not going to happen, but I am going to Yemen, Oman and the emirates instead in late Febrauary, I already have my tickets, I hope I get as lucky with the majestic skies, spectacular light and colours as you have here. Looking at this I can't wait to go, definitely goes into my favourites.

A great city scene and one that is very well lit. I like the shadows too, which give great depth. The sky is quite impressive too. A great composition.

This place is wonderful: the architecture seems so well preserved from modernism: everything seems to have been made in an artisanal way, and the light is splendid, with shadows projected on the houses.

Luca, I have to admit that it never crossed my mind to visit Yemen, just till I saw this picture. It is truelly impressive place and it goes to my list of places to visit.

Fantastic colours for a cloudy day. And the city is emphasised by the light being on the city, not the sky.

The sky looks a bit too artificial but the view on Sana'a is beautiful, specially with the soft light of the sunset. I am sure I would enjoy this city! This is one of the places that I ardently wish to visit in this world... Cheers for this photo. Regards, Marine

Great point of view you found there! Light and dark sky combined to the white details of the citys buildings gives a very impressive ambiance to the photo, thanks for posting!

This is a place that fascinates me since a long time... But actually I heard that it is not the best moment to visit Yemen.
Do you have any updates on the place? have you been there recently since 1995?
