Photographer’s Note
I was taking a photo of the scenic village of Hababah and its cistern when a local man was keen for his photo and stepped into the frame. I quickly took the shot and he disappeared as quickly as he came. In Yemen, children and young men enjoy having their photo taken and will approach you in the street, however,it is forbidden to photograph women and many of the traditional older men are not keen on having their photo taken. However, this man was the exception.
