Hi Tan,
A fine POV and framing, whithout any dust in view! ;D (maybe you had to wait till it settles down to shoot this picture! Good natural looking colors, fine sharpness too. I like the panorama format, and obviously the superb Yemeni architecture... An interesting note too...
Why do you say you cant post panos any more... is there a limit?

Excellent panorama. Cruel and beautiful scenery. One more proof that life is possible on every spot on earth no matter how harsh it was.
You show, as usual, photo with high technical quality but this is also photo with soul and technical quality is only the means to achieve outstanding result. Excellent compo and colors bring us the spirit of this place.

Another fabulous landscape shot, Tan, perfectly composed as usual and technically excellent. You have included all of the elements of a typical Yemeni landscape - the wadi, the unique architecture, the mountains and that lovely deep blue sky. Hola Tan... I did not know about this land and the honey they do there. I like the arquitectonical landscape, looks like "Stars war" movies (but the were shot in Tunez)... I would like to go there myself. Take care.

It looks like a mediaeval mini-Manhattan rising from the desert, amazing. Yet the town also blends into the landscape and with the exception of the few more modern buildings, doesn't look at all out of place.
The panoramic crop works well here, and I also like how the line of the road on the left leads the eye into the frame.

Great view of the town. I like the repetition of the many buildings. I also like the contrast in shapes of the houses and the mountains in the background. The trees are a welcome variation for the grey and brown colours. Well captured!

Hi Tan. Yes I agree with you that honey is much better without dust and sand in it. I wonder why their honey is so much better than everyone else’s. That's too bad about not being able to do a high-res here. Maybe you can delete some old ones no one looks at anymore. The composition, saturation, and colors are tops. Another good one Tan!

Hi Tan.
This one is another picture that makes me willing to discover this country. It's not only for the honey but also for fantastic sceneries as the one you show here. The combination of the blue sky, green palm trees and bushes and the textures of he dusty rocks is splendid.

Beautiful composition with interesting humorous note! This place seems so remote in the middle of the desert, almost melted with the rocks all around. A feeling of a very far destination. very well done.

Sizin galerinizi kesif edebilmek, beni mutlu etti, ve Amerikada yasiyan bir Türk olarak gurur verdi. Fotoraflariniz arasinda sahane tablolar var, yavas yavas onlari gezip yorumlamak etmegi istiyorum. Yemenin bu sahane resmi dogrusu o ülkenin en güzel resimlerinden bire, ve panoramik olarak bilhassa sahane. Ben de 1997 de orada bulunmustum, fakat ay'a benzer bir topragi, bitkinsiz bir hali vardi. Sizin ki bir "oasis" olarak gösteriyor.

Wow, thanks for the tip about Ohhoneyhoney - I just checked it out and that's some pretty wild stuff! The info about Yemen and the honey is great too, and it's for little stories like that that I keep coming back to TE - that and great shots like this. The long horizontal frame works well with this, showing the sweep of the town in it's setting with the dusty valley and rocky hills. Towns like this seem almost organic, like they are part of the natural landscape and not artificial. Great note and photo!

Hi Tan,
An amazing place...This panorama shot really works and gives so much pleasant detail of the surrounding desert and vegetation. I like the way the little roadway snakes up on the left, and also the old ruined square shaped building on the hillock to the right. The sky provides perfect contrast. Thanks for the fascinating note. An obscure, veiled world...I can taste the honey, but can imagine also the dust.

Tan, this post really deserves a LP. Why not deleting one of the olders one so that you get storage capacity again? I don't care about deleting old ones.
It seems that you got the right moment to get the shot ... at least I don't see any dust in the air and no signs of dust on your lenses either.
For the honey - I guess I will have to drive up to San Francisco to have some breakfast with yoy to taste this sweet desert marvel of honey.

Hi Tan,
A very interesting view on this city, situated a bit above your POV. If it wasn't for the colored houses this city would be difficult to spot from a distance as the colors are almost the same as the landscape.
Good compo with the palm trees in the foreground and the city a bit higher. Good colors too.

Hi Tan,
An awesome view of an amazing place that makes me dream of a Shngli-la on the desert. That undulating imaginary line that starts near the lower left and goes all the way to the middle right traversing the village makes it very dynamic and eye catching. The lonely ruined tower on the left third nicely and the rocky hill above the houses are another point of interest graphically.
