wild camping at Dixam Plateau / Socotra is
better than any 5* hotel. The Dragonīs blood tree red resin gives it its name and is exuded from the bark after wouning. In the ancients it was thought to be the dragonīs bood. The medicinal and colouring properties of this resin was recorded by the ancient civilisations of Rome and Greece. It is still used in dyes, medicine and incnse.

I love these Dragon`s Blood trees.There is a wonderful example of the same in Sydney`s Botanical Garden, only much larger.
