Photographer’s Note

Taken from the cliff above Shibam with a great view over the valley, it was almost sunset and the moon was already out.

The houses are an example of typical yemeni architecture.

I'm a great fan of minimalism in photography, but I should probably add - INTELLIGENT minimalism. like here - the strong diagonal composition, the striking contrast between the subjects and their relative sizes, all that creates a photo loaded with content, not just a shot with few things in it. great, really great, my compliments!

Beautiful composition. The houses look very cool against the blue-sky background. The moon combines to make a very well balanced photograph. It almost looks like a dwelling from another planet like on Starwars. I really like this photo a lot. Well done as usual.
