Manhatan of the desert Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ok, so I guess you are starting to know this place by now. Shibam blah blah, Unesco site, blah blah, manhatan of the desert, blah blah, 600 hundread year old 6 - 8 story buildings, blah blah.

I wont say anything that hasnt been said before. The place is really amazing to have attracted 4 trekearthers like flies to rotten fruit all on the same day.

At sunset, Lucinka, M_S_S,Maciekda, and I were going around the site hunting for photos. I will post a photo on the worksho.

Sympa cette rencontre TE au Yemen! ;o)
Une bonne photo d'ensemble de ce lieu qu l'on a effectivement déjà beaucoup vu sur TE, mais c'est toujours aussi impressionnant à voir. J'aime ces différents plan blnacs/bruns jusqu'à cette bande de ciel bleu au fond. Il me semble qu'il y beaucoup de bruit dans le ciel... c'est bizarre, non?

maravillosos colores acres, típicos del desierto. Por lo que se ve y lo que cuentas debe ser una maravilla. Has conseguido una gran profundidad de campo y una nitidez perfecta. Buen trabajo! Rafa.

Décidément se rencontrer au Yemen est une idée originale ! Je fais moins bien en décidant une rencontre à Lille mais je dois avouer que la distance pourra rebuter certain. Le Yemen semble un pays fascinant et cette photo me plait

Muy buena foto panoramica de una parte de Shibam, gracias a tu POV podemos disfrutar de su belleza, es interesante como ellos usan la combinacion del color marron con el blanco en sus edificios, me imagino es para subsanar un poco el calor. Esta muy bien captada. El WS con ustedes tres esta fantastico.

Aquí en el metro (U-Bahn) de Munich he visto una foto que anuncia viajes a el cercano orinete, la mayoría a lugares desérticos --lo que es exótico en un país todo verde como este--, y uno es "Manhattan" en el desierto. Así que me imagino que será esta misma ciudad.
La foto está incréible. Realmente llama la atención. ¿Le pusiste un filtro polarizador? ¿La ciudad por dentro parece Manhattan de verdad?
Por aquí todo va bien en Munich, trabajando harto en el doctorado. A veces me quedo en la universidad trabajando más de 10 horas al día. Pero el tema es súper interesante.
Ahora que ya estoy por aquí quien sabe y podríamos coordinar una visita.

Salut Daniel, excellent le POV sur Shibam, effectivement ce village est mondialement connu dorénavant et t'as bien fait de ne pas trop t'attarder sur la note ;-)
Vous avez trouvé un excellent endroit pour avoir une photo en hauteur du site, tu sais combien j'aime ça, et là avec ce gros bleu en arrière plan ça rend super bien !! Le polarisant fonctionne a merveille ici.
