[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm sure you can tell that I spend quite a bit of my time at the Montgomerie Golf Club, adjacent to the "Meadows" and " Springs" residential developments in Dubai. My family and I will often enjoy a casual meal, as the sun sets behind the Marina highrise buildings.
The Marina district continues to grow at a rapid pace with as many as 60 towers having been erected over the last two years....one wonders how they are ever filled.......and when it will ever end.
I took this shot in RAW and processed in Image Browser which was supplied along with my Canon 30D. I had no tripod at the time, so pushed the ISO up to 320 with F-stop at f/16, but was shooting directly into the sun......not the best option I know.

Hi Grant, you have done wonderful work here with this modern architecture, and create a painting by the way it interacts with the elements of the nature. A lovely composition indeed.

wow, awesome sunset and amazing buildings! :-) looks like the construction is going on and on with all the cranes around.
the green and palm trees in the foreground are great, make a nice contrast against the modern skyscrapers in the back.

I do really like the composition, but what happened here with the quality?! The whole area around the sun is built up of blocks, like you converted it to 256 colours. I really like the compo with the city skyline and the green lush foreground, but what happened here with the quality?

Hi Grant,
I like the composition here, shooting at ISO 320 was a good idea. There is a slight pixelation that I notice in the trees and buildings, I wonder whether that is a result of compression. The mood is excellent.

Good Cityscape.. I am familiar with the Marina.. towers.. as we have visited them in Dubai...

Good blend of architecture... though bit crowded..
