[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This morning I got out of bed before 6.00am so that I could get to the camel race track before the sun came up. I was a little late in leaving my home, which is about 15km from the camel market areas, so had to rush to arrive there before I lost the rising sun. Luckily as I got to there, I came across this small "tran" of camels, along with their two young minders, which were crossing the road after a short workout on the track. I quickly stopped my car, and managed to capture this image as they walked in front of me and the sun. Although it's not ideal to be shooting directly into the sun, I quite liked the soft silhouetted look of this image.
No filter was used, but I increased saturation by +7 to enhance the colour and cropped some of the burnt out sky area.

Hi Grant,

a wonderful light and scene, but to many artefacts in the sky, in my opinion.
Well done, anyway, cheers Chris

Hello Grant,
Great shot with fantastic gentle colors and light. I like panorama format in this case, composition is also very good. Excellent work!
Best regards,
Maciek

Hi Grant,

I do like the compo, but I'm wondering what happened to the sky at the top right and the edges of the sky and the horizon. I do really like the compo, but the pixellation is just too much...

Greetings!
Dennis

Hello Grant
Love the colour tones you've got here. The light is very good and as you say the soft look is very appealing. Are the artifacts in the sky on account of compression or sharpening? The crop you did actually helps because the pano format fits this image very well. Good work!
Regards
Angshu

hello, grant

a great composition and golden color cast. the photo radiates the desert ambiance and the feel of sand in the air is unmistakeable. very atmospheric shot.

i agree with dennis about the sky though: something went wrong there, too much pixelation in the sky and near the roofs of the buildings in the background.

other than that: very well seen and presented.

hello Grant,
apart from technical deficiencies your photo conveys a special mood that works nicely.
regards,
kostas
