Photographer’s Note

I couldn’t resist taking this photo. It’s the Abra Station of Bur Dubai. All these men, all immigrants, keep staying there waiting for the clients to cross the river or for the tourists to go on a little tour. It was very calm that day, without too many people, but it was still an interesting place.

Hi Anabela, nice shot of daily life on the river. Interesting to see these aspects of another culture, and read your accompanying notes. Good depth.

Linda fotografia, Anabela. Excelente o ângulo de tomada. A composição, com a pequena mureta pelo lado direito, os lindos e coloridos barcos e os prédios ao fundo, ficou EXCELENTE!

I would have loved to take one of these across the creek there is so much we have not done in Dubai that. we wanted to.... I also like the loading station close to intercontinental hotel on Deira lots of rich colours and much happening there.
Actually I like the picture with the sky contrast, it is a very interesting picture. Thanks for the note as well.

Intersting shot of these lovely boats and their crews.
I would probably have cropped out a bit of the dull sky, and have made a more panoramic view, but nevertheless a nice shot
