Photographer’s Note
A lonely rider and his camel by the race track in front of the new Dubai towers. Seen is the construction of Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower) nearing its 100th floor. When completed it will be the tallest building in the world.

A picture that helps understanding where Dubai is heded for.The camel, the only element that is reminiscent of the past, is miniscule but absolutely indispensible and well positioned horizontally in the picture. But vertically, for personal my taste, I would have captured a bit more of the foreground. Excellent imgae TFS

That's what I call a boom! I remember older pictures of Dubai when it was nothing but the average arabian city... Now it's one of the most spectacular metropolis in the world! Impressive shot...

Hi Plamen,
What a awesome picture! I really love it. My English isn't doing so well but Jean-Pierre 'lemorse' expressed what I wanted to say. Its an excellent picture, congratulations!

When I first saw this picture with the title, I thought its about the race of the buildings. It turned out both the race of camels and the race of modern buildings. Well taken.
