Early Rise and Ride Photo

Photographer’s Note

During the months of October to May, it is possible to take an early morning balloon ride over the desert sand dunes outside of Dubai. We met our Balloon opeerator at 5.00am and were then transported to our launch site about 100kms from Dubai city. A great part of the experience was watching the preparations as the team set up our hot air balloon. Here I have captured the pilot as he concluded the last of preparations a few minites before "lift off. As you can see, the sun had not yet risen, but showed it's presence with the first orange morning rays on the horizon.
I set my ISO AT 400 and used flash to provide detail in his face and balloon basket.

Hello grant. An interesting and at the same time unreally working picture. On the one hand is still dawn, on the other hand one is the man of the flashlight illuminates. Probably it was still too dark, in order to photograph without lightning. But the photo works outstanding. Exemplary is also the technical quality. Informative text. Best regards, Wolfgang.
