I've always liked 'city skyline' pictures, however Dubai is one of those tricky places to get such images because it is often difficult to find a critical mass of buildings or objects to capture in one shot.

So, enevitably, scenes like this are more common. On the far left you can see the Dubai Municipal Government building, the Al Masraf tower and two ajoining buildings with domes on their roofs. On the far right is the gold coloured building that is synonymous with its spectacular sheer glass panel work that seemingly everyone who visits Dubai has to photograph as a signiture picture.

In the centre of the picture is a row of neat flower beds which I thought helps to break up the human-made aspects.

It is a pleasant place located right along the Dubai Creek waterfront (which is about 50 feet to the right off-camera) and I could happily spend a couple of hours watching the wooden abra ships be loaded and unloaded.

Well worth a visit, if you are in the area, as there are a lot of worthwhile photographic angles.
