Inside the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
This is the largest carpet on earth, ca 5.700 square meters. And without shoes You can actually walk on it! Feels great under you bare feet.
The image is not spectacular in any way, but I want to show this masterpiece, done but by some 1200 women in Iran.
Below a quote from the web.
The production of the world’s largest handmade rug began in January 2006 by the Iran Carpet Company (ICC). The design work took six months, the weaving a year and the finishing work a further three months.
Custom-made for the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan mosque by the ICC, this large hand-made masterpiece has a unique design, featuring five big medallions depicting various traditional flower motifs. About 30 tons of wool and 15 tons of cotton were used in weaving the mammoth rug in the size 135x46 metres. Its green background features a variety of 25 naturally dyed yarns.

You say the image is not spectacular in any way. I beg to differ! For me, both the architecture and of course the carpet are really spectacular. But I know what you mean: this isn't a sensationalist image, or one distorted or designed to exaggerate, although it looks as if you've used a wide angle lens. The overall effect is very impressive. Good work.

maybe the photo is not perfect, but it is of no importance, the view of this largest carpet is fantastic. How it was possible to make such a big carpet and then to transport it?? Amazing post.

Indeed a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Amazing that people are allowed to walk on it!
Your photograph does everything to give a feeling of grandeur to the setting and to the carpet. The colours, the pattern, the materials are all sumptuous.
My only suggestion would be for the figure to be walking into the shot, not out of it, for it tends to guide the viewers in the wrong direction.
Have a great day,

after reading the note under the first picture of your Grand Mosque series, I was very intrigued to see the "largest carpet on Earth", which has been crafted so meticulously by so many people. I appreciate this picture very much and like the fact that we only see a part of the carpet and still its dimensions look awesome. The art of its patterns and colours is amazing and you have rendered it excellently. The architecture is very interesting too. I love the depth, the diffused light and the peaceful atmosphere.
Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

A nice shot taken from good pov and perspective with excellent exposure control revealing the immense detail through out. The fig is vital in position timely shot for scale and feel of extensive depth and space. Imho you can still benefit from bit more contrast, colour sat and slight underexposed. Brilliant capture and great work, Congrats
