Hüseyin Timur and Bugatay Aka Vaults

These are also in Ahlat, Bitlis. Huseyin Timur Vault (in front) was made for Prince Huseyin Timur who died in 1279 and Esentekin Hatun who died in 1280. The vault behind was made for Bugatay Aka, descendant of the Akkoyunlu's, who died in 1287 and Sirin Hatun.

Hüseyin Timur ve Bugatay Aka Kümbetleri

Bitlis'in Ahlat ilçesindedir. Hüseyin Timur kümbeti (önde), 1279 yılında ölen Emir Hüseyin Timur ve 1280'de ölen Esentekin Hatun'un mezarıdır. Arkadaki kümbet ise 1287 yılında ölen Akkoyunlu soyundan Bugatay Aka ve Şirin Hatun için yaptırılmıştır

Seref, trying to make some progress on working my way thru your gallery today. This shot reminds me of Absalom's tomb in Jerusalem. Your shot is wonderful, great color and a fine composition, the tilting of the structures is curious, and it is obviously the way it was builg. Great capture.
