Konya is one of the first centers of population in the history of humankind. and it owns the traces of many ancient civilizations. Because of these characteristics, Konya has the specialty of a "museum - city". Konya is also famous for the Islamic Elders lived here, besides its innumerable historical, cultural and natural values. During the old times, Konya took place on the most important and main roads. It used to be one of the most important trade and billeting centers of the Silk Road.

As the first construction built by Mustafa Paşa in 1676 was destructed by a big fire in 1867, this mosque that has remained till today was constructed through the contributions of Abdülaziz and his mother Pertevniyal Hatunun in 1872.

Taken with Aydin Erel 'erel' during a trip to Konya with Mr. Izzet Keribar 'keribar' and Aydin Erel 'erel.
I enjoyed every moment of it.

Salvator, this is a fantastic shot, the angle is uniqye, and the detail is awesome. The colors are wonderful and compositionally it is well arranged, it is as perfect a shot as I have seen. Great capture.

Renklerin doğallığı, netlik ve sarı bozkır yamaçlarının masmavi gökyüzüyle oluşturduğu uyum harikulâde. Sadece cami kadraj içinde biraz fazla sıkışmış gibi geldi bana. Elinize sağlık.

İlk defa böyle minareler görüyorum ve Konya'dan Mevlana Türbesi dışında bir mimari yapıyı ilk kez görüyorum desem çok mu ayıp etmiş olurum?
Yine elitlere mahsus özel izinlerle girilen bir yerlerden çekilmiş izlenimi veriyor. Çok net, kaliteli ve öğretici bir fotoğraf. Eline sağlık.

Her minarenin estetik düşmanı hoparlörleri böylesi güzel ve zarif minarelerin iyiki iç kısımlarına yerleştirmişler,göze batmıyor.Kubbe çevresini farklı perspektifle çok güzel görüntülemişsiniz,netlik ve renklerin doğallığı mükemmel,karşı tepelerin çıplak ve kurak görünümü Konyalı doğa severleri,orman idaresini ve Belediye yetkililerini rahatsız etmiyormu acaba.Gökyüzünün maviliği hava kirliliğinin olmadığı izlenimi veriyor.Çok iyi bilmediğim şehri güzel karelerinizle tanımış oluyoruz.Teşekkürler paylaşımın için,selamlar

Hi Salvator,

I remember this mosque and its minarets from a visit to Konya, but I've never seen this view, great with the mountains in the background. You must have gotten 'special access' on your trip! Great work!

şimdi ki Türk mimari yapısına hiç benzemeyen bir minare.
bence daha da güzel mimari yapısı var.
birde arkada ki tepeler dikkatimi çekti, yıllar once bir kere bende konyada bulundum ama orda hiç böyle bir tepe hatırlamıyorum. dümndüz bir ovaydı. yoksa burası merkeze bağlı bir ilçemi...

very nice contrasted and saturated panoramic shot of this beautiful area of Aziziye.Great the sharpness and the clarity of the capture, as the light that is managed superb.Informative your note.As i see, you used a tripod,the best choice for the best results.Our cameras are heavy enough, so a tripod is necessary.In my latest photos in Skiathos,i used a monopod with excellent results.

Although I have been to Konya several times I have never seen the Aziziye mosque under this angle. Good discovery of a vantage point which let us see so much of the surroundings of this historical place.. Best - Izzet
