Photographers Note
Yüksek Kilise (High Church) in Güzelyurt, Aksaray, Central Anatolia.
The only written information I could find on the net is from the official site of Aksaray town:
It is situated at a distance of 3 kms. to the town, being 1 km. West from the center. It is built on a natural, rocky hill; both a church and a place for the monks may be seen.
People say it is known as a nuns' monastery.
I have taken this shot from the road leading to Güzelyurt. In the background, the mighty Mount Hasan is seen. It is a dead volcano, most probably the one pictured in the wall paintings found at Çatal Höyük near Konya.
You may want to check the workshop for a closer view.

An absolute delight in sheer terms of the sweeping landscape and colours to go with the flow. The composition is wonderful...so what if you couldn't find more details about the place. Great composition

Hello Sayat,
It's a beautiful photo of a beautiful place.
I made a workshop and I'd like to know what do you think of it.
Some times the monitor is not well set and the pictures may appear darker or lighter.
Ciao,

Hello Sayat,
A fantastic view and a very good composition. However, I think Longroute brings out more from the picture with his WS.

Hello Sayat ,
A perfect composition for this wonderful landscape . The mountains in the back-ground are fantastic .
A little lack of sharpness on the church .
Congratulations

Meraba Sayat Bey,

Dear Sayat
Great view...with the monastery perched up the rocks & the snow capped peaks as the BG. This is a beautiful place...look fwd. for closeups of the monastery since it's only 3 Km from the town :-)
Best Regards
