I'm a great fan of mosques and minarets and here I like how vertical and elongated this nice specimen is, looks like a rocket to fly to the moon so it's an appropriate association !

It's unbelievable that this photo is from Eyüp, Istanbul, it seems rather having been taken in a village ! You are very lucky to have such a vue from your terrace in central Istanbul...
This view is stricking, with superb light on the minaret and on the clouds too !

Merhaba Hakan,

The slender minaret makes a very good counterpoint to the moon. Your note is a sad commentary on the looming future of Belgrade Forrest. The wildlife will become extinct in this area. Price of progress!

Hello Hakan,
Mankind's ignorance and short-sightedness will eventual be the end of our species. Urban sprawl is uneccessary and is done solely for the benefit of the greedy land developers. We have the same problem with urban sprawl in the USA. Excellent photo of this marvelous terrace and you did a great job of composition of placing the terrace and the moon on opposite 1/3 compositional lines. Beautiful image with disturbing, but not surprising, notes about the stupidity of the human race. Excellent photography!

Salam Hakan. This is just gorgeous. The light is just perfect on that minaret with tiers on the lush green. I like the color of the cloud and the moon hit the sweet spot here. It balances well with the contrasting minaret in excellent sharpness and contrast. Regards. Jusni

Olá Hakan, nice to know the view from your terrace. I don't know what I don't see here, but what I'm seeing is very beautiful and a motive to envy you. The composition is simple, clean and very well succeeded. The elegant minaret is making a good dialogue with the moon. Wonderful light and soft colors.

Merhaba Hakan,
You framed wonderful balance between the moon & the minaret. The detail in the minaret is just beautiful; while the moon shows your excellent light management. It is not easy to maintain proper exposure in both the FG and the moon.

Your note is of great interest; it's hard to imagine a forest that stretches from Germany to Georgia and sad to hear of the loss of wildlife. Our wildlife seem to be better suited to existing on the edges of civilization; bears, coyotes, & mountain lions all venture in for a tasty snack of dog or cat. There is still a lot of discussion about the re-troduction of wolves but they and buffalo have done well.

Years ago I read a facetious article suggesting that since the grizzly bear is thwe California State animal, they should be re-introduced to Griffith Park (in LA) and made a protected species.

I collect photos from people's windows so I've added yours to my collection, I hope it's okay.

Haken, you must have a great place the view from the terrace is awesome. The plight you speak of here is the same in most places I visit, such a shame we are killing off the planet around us. That said your shot is very nice and the tree top view makes the minaret seem all that much taller. Well seen.
