Photographers Note
Originally I wanted to create a 3:1 ratio panoroma but it turned out to be just a 21megapixel hi-res image. It is a pity that we are only allowed for 800x800 pixel images here. Because every single detail is visible on this 4 image stitched photo. I am planning on printing it big as 60x90cm.
Hope you like it.
Note: That little black mark on top right side is a seagull. I didn't want to clone it out because it is clearly visible on the large version.
As for the fountain:
I wanted to write down the history in English but it will take quite some time. So I will do it briefly if you don't mind.
The Tophane Fountain is an 18th century fountain and built built on 1732 by Ahmet Aga for Sultan Mahmut 1st.
Nearly a century after it's been built a fire has destroyed it's dome shaped roof and it's been rebuilt 1957.
The fountain restored on 2006 by the water company Saka Su.

korkut
