Photographer’s Note
Inside the amazing Church of Aya Sofia, in Istanbul. The arabic symbols are a reflection of the islamic influence in the region following the fall of Constantinople. It is amazing that, in this same spot, a church existed for more than 1,500 years!

Hello Alfredo,
Excellent wide-angle shot of the flagship of Byzantine basilicas. You must have seen the columns leaning to and fro, the floor worn down 10-15 cm in places where the guards stood for over a thousand years, and of course the unrivaled beauty of the mosaics on the second level, in the area where you stood to take this photograph.
Warm regards from Virginia, USA.
