Photographer’s Note

This one of my last pictures. Taken yesterday at a new shopping mall called Istinye Park, actually very close to where I live. I has opened its door recently and the ads say that it is the biggest in Turkey. The golden domes outside are an addition which have been placed as part of the New Year decorations . I was there all day long and rushed outside at the blue hour. Very "state of the art" architecture designed by an American firm.

Hello Izzet,

A magnificent photo. The spherical shapes in the FG provide a unique entrance to the scene. The gold contrasts very well with the navy blue skies above. The diagonal shafts of light are a bit odd, but the shapes and angles created by the perspective of the buildings is a good element. Good sharpness and strong colours. Thanks for sharing with us.

It almost looks like a model and not a real building. Great effect of the golden balls in FG, which makes a very good one for Christmas. That red light effect is a bit strange though.
Have a nice Christmas and caress some cats for me as I will caress my two ;-)

Bonjour, Izzet. Tout cela a l'air bien moderne. Ces grosses boules dorées forment un bel avant-plan dont les rondeurs contrastent bien avec les formes géiométriques du complexe commercial. Les lumières rouges et bleues et les diagonales lumineuses sortant par les fenêtres créent une belle ambiance dans l'image.
J'en profite pour te souhaiter un joyeux Noël et une excellente année 2008.

Bonjour Izzet,
Une architecture très futuriste pour ce nouveau centre commercial et l'effet est accentué par la présence de ces boules dorées placées là pour la déco. J'aime bien ton POV qui donne une bonne perspective sur les lieux et cette tache de rouge est parfaite pour accrocher notre regard.
Je te souhaite de très bonnes fêtes de fin d'année.

one could find such an image in a prommotional catalogue of an archi design firm...
i have a feeling that this image is very close to a computer made graphical simulation of the buildings...

Very interesting photo. Golden domes look fantastic with the blue sky and the building. This shopping center seems very large. These temples of commerce have often very interesting architecture. Thanks for sharing

On est loin de la Turquie traditionnelle ici ;-)
Mais j'aime quand meme bien la construction de ton image toute en succession d'elements et profondeur, peut etre pourrais tu cropper un peu a droite pour limiter la petite zone surexposee.

Its amazing! You have chosen perfect POV and amazing composition with these golden balls. Timing is also superb, thanks to the blue hour the colours of building and sky are very good, creeate great contrast with golden elements...
