Something completely different today; this photo was taken inside the tahta camii mosque in Beysehir. We visited this mosque during a 3 day tour through Cappadocia. This is a wooden mosque that once belonged to the Seljuks. Yes, I can hear the smart remarks coming that this is a stone pillar foot you see on the photo, but the pillar itself is made of wood :-)
The Turkish prayer bead in front of the pillar is called a Tespih, and even though this one is clearly Islamic, the same type of prayer beads pop up in other religions as well.
With the faint ray of sunlight, the ancient worn out pillar foot, this tespih invited to reflect on life for a moment. Reflection or a prayer ... sometimes it's a thin line... |

Different POV,the old pillar foot and the tesbih.
I liked the light on them.
The muslims use the tesbih after devotion to mantion the names of god, every name of Allah, has a special energy , by repeating the names of Allah, a kind of meditation is actualized.
