Photographer’s Note
Crocodile Island or Dislice Adasi to give it its proper name is located towards the eastern end of Hisaronu Korfesi in the entrance to the beautiful inlet called Bencik Limani. Pass the island on the western side and it is just a knobbly island, but pass it on its eastern side and Disney Land could not have made a more convincing Croc!
Bencik is located at the narrowest point on the Datca peninuslar and is the site where the Knidians attempted to dig a canal to protect themselves from the invading Persians.
