Hello Gert
:)) Very interesting house. You saw good and shot.Good composition.Well done
Kind Regards
Ertan

It's a very interesting looking old building Gert, and I like how you caught the people peering out at you from their windows.
The technical problems of noise, slight lack of sharpness and over-exposure of the highlights do detract a bit, but nontheless I like the overall image. It's well framed and (unusually for an architectural image) well timed - without the people at the windows it wouldn't have worked so well.

Cheers,
Ben

Hi Gert,
Thanks for write into my photo...This photo have a interesting composition, a unique house with some funny people near by the windows, a little fade color under the hot and bright sunlight, you can increase the quality of color with add contrast or reduce bright.

Hi Gert,

A good shot of a painful matter in my country...

Cihangir is one of the perfect neighbourhood of Istanbul... These sorts of old houses are seen almost everywhere in this beautiful city...

They are all under protetion, can not be demolished... The only thing to be done/allowed is renewal... But it's very very expensive and most of the time the owners can not afford it and there is no such support from the state...

So all these houses left alone/abandoned to their fates... That's why, sometimes, they are ACCIDETIALLY BURNED and thus a new construction permit can be obtained within the frame of the laws and legislations of course...

Apart from the story of mine, this is a good image... A little bit more sharpness would be better but this way also does not boder at all...

Thanks for sharing...

Regards
Bulent
