Meke Maar - Konya - Turkiye A Maar meaning a big water-filled funnellike hole and introduced as a scientific term by a German 19th century geologist; also called "tuff cone" is a broad, low relief crater that is caused by a phreatic eruption or explosion caused by groundwater contact with hot lava or magma. The maar typically fills with water to form a relatively shallow crater lake. (wikipedia)

The lake looks like a snake's head. I love the diagonal composition made by the lake and the shadow. And i finв the reflection of the clouds in the water amazing. The colour scheme is wonderful: again my favorite combination of yellow and blue tones. The verdure in the foreground is lively. All in all it causes a calming relaxing impression full of energy at the same time. That's achieved thru the diagonal compo: pieceful sky and hills and energetic grass... It is not only about grass: the lines make the picture vibrant.

I like the sky where slim clouds yet smooth fly.

However, when using so much contrast and sharpness, do you think the site in this photo is as beautiful as this one in the reality?

Hi Suleyman,
The clarity of this image is amazing, and the colours seem so soft and attractive. I like the hint of clouds in the sky which have been reflected nicely in the lake creatig a surreal effect. Very well done.

That is a good HDR, resulting in a good colour balance and nice sharpness. Have to be honest, on the thumbnail I was also considering a snake ;-). Good compo. Thanks for sharing!
