The Reflections of an Ancient Anatolian Belief on Glass
Blue evil eye beads of Turkey - Nazar Boncugu say " Masha'Allah ", that is, "God has willed it"
Belief in the evil eye is strongest in the Middle East, South Asia and Europe, especially the Mediterranean region; it has also spread to other areas, including northern Europe, particularly in the Celtic regions, and the Americas, where it was brought by European colonists and Middle Eastern immigrants.

The blue eyes of Anatolia that has been smiling for thousands of years, are eager to meet with the eyes of the new world.

In Turkey, wherever you look, you'll meet plenty of eyes looking at you. Colourful evil eye bead , evil eye bracelets, evil eye necklaces, evil eye anklets, gold or silver evil eye charms and pendants, blue evil eye decorative talismans, evil eye earrings - rings and plenty of evil eye ethnic jewelry sets. Here it is a real evil eye bead paradise.All those glass eye beads would make you feel as if you are being pursued. It is as if secret eyes are following the life and the people. Since then the people have been attaching this bead to everything they wished to protect from evil. From the new-born babies to their horses or even to the doors of their homes... Evil eye - nazar boncugu keychains, evil eye cellphone charms, evil eye turkish oya needle lace works, evil eye / nazar worry beads...The blue bead eyes - lucky eyes might be looking as if trying to say,
"Don't bother... Everything is all right..."

This photo was taken today at Kurudere Village/Kemalpaşa/IZMIR. Blue bead is one of the most prominent gifts from Turkey. In Izmir area visit Görece and Kurudere Village where you find several blue bead production places.

I've always seen these eyes, I even bought some when I was there but I've never seen how they are made. Very good composition showing them too busy making the little eyes.It must need lots of concentration.

Good documentary value showing the two workers in action with nice texture of the clay oven. The blurred arm of the man in FG gives a bit of dynamism to your compo. Good exposure and framing.
I used to have one of these beads, when I was a teenager :)

bu çalışan insanların harika. Bu defa mekanın renkleri çok yardımcı olmamış ama sen sana düşen her şeyi mükemmel yapmışsın. Özellikle hareketi yakalayan shutter speed hem bu fotoğrafda hem öncekilerde tam tadında.
Tripod taşımayı teşvik için senin fotoğraflarını göstermeli herkese 1/5 ve mükemmel netlik...
