Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken two months at Birgi, Ödemiş /İZMİR. We met the members of TE from Turkey (SAGAPO, cuneyt-sb, saylan-cb, monoblog, dewo and bpelvan).

İki ay önce Trekearth üyeleriyle İzmir’de Tire, Ödemiş, Birgi(Çakırağa Konağı) ve Gölcük’ü içeren bir gezi yaptık. Bu fotoğrafı da Çakırağa Konağı önünde çektim. Çok keyifli bir beraberlikti, hem tanıştık hem de çok güzel şeyler paylaştık. Geziye katılan tüm arkadaşlara çok teşekkür ederim.

Olá Ali!
Interessante essa imagem, com boa percepção de movimento, mas muito perigoso essas pessoas estarem andando sem capaceto, isso é proibido aqui no Brasil!

I like this one, it is action packed and full of determined intention!
Nicely blurred back reduces disturbing elements, and the bike has some interesting details...
Different expressions of the riders are well captured!

That's the stuff I want to see more often...The demons of speed (and safety precautions (:-)))).
You can't manage not to smile imaging these people there, on the shitty roads, driving those antique motorcycles in such bravado style…
Look at the that side cart with the woman in it…???

Gosh… I love it !
To spend a day or two in their companion, would be my dream…Who knows…Maybe even a ride on this machine…Who knows.?

Hi Ali,
This is a good panning shot ... well captured. I'm still learning this technique and getting terrible results ... anyway, I just keep on trying. The scene is interesting as it portray a daily life scene considered as a dangerous and illegal practise in develop countries. Well done ... tfs.

Merhaba Ali Riza,
I like the scene, your framing and your intention, it was an ambitious decision to try out a panning, considering the subject does not remain quite flat relatively to you, I believe your speed and movement were quite right gere, but your aperture was to wide, you need to compensate the loss of sharpness from your movement by using a small aperture to increase the sharp area, typically around f/20. Oh, and I see you even met Bülent, I haven't seen him around for ages, hope he is well.

What a great photo, gives the feeling of speed by using this technique. The side car makes all the difference as it adds more interest as well as the three people.

considering your position I would say you have got a brave idea for panning. Because you are not quite parallel to the subject and it is very difficul to handle panning in those situations. Still you have done well. Little problem with sharpness, but that doesnot matter very much. well done.
