Photographer’s Note
Istanbul is unique. It is so unique that you can see a confluence of Europe and Asia, of East and West, of Islam and Christianity, of Hip and Conservative and of Past and Present.
The mosque is hundreds of years old, the building behind tens of years old. All viewed from a ferry cruising one of the most crowded passages - The Bosphorous. And ofcourse there is that yacht too.
What a city!

Hi Jyothi,
Lovely photo this one. Such clarity and colour. I live in this city and some of us condemned the tall building that was doen without legal buidling permission. We gave a good press fight but we lost. Overnight, with urgent meetings, the municipality who did notgrant building permission was off set by shifting thwe border of one mincipality to the other which was permissive. So, we are really unique my friend.
Now, I will go and look at your India photos on Pbase. I came across your name when lookign at the photos of my friend Charukesi Ramadurai.
I plan to come and visit India soon.
Best,
Petek
