Photographer’s Note
I know there's nothing remotely artistic about this shot - and of course I wish the men with the box weren't there in the background, but I wanted to pay a small tribute to all of the brave turkeys sacrificed in North America, Diyarbakir, and the rest of the world, on Thanksgiving and every day. Sometimes I'm a bit shy about taking pictures of people, but these turkey and goat vendors (not pictured) were content to pose and watch the funny tourist lady as long as I watched them.

Hello Becky,
This photo is now five-weeks old, but you've composed a very good photo. I agree, it would have been better without the men packing a box in the background, but sometimes you have to take what is available.
You are a most impressive and adventurous traveler -- Kosovo, Russia, Turkey, Italy,... I came across your gallery while looking at photos of Sanli Urfa.
Greetings from Virginia, and Happy New Year
