It's amazing how the image from the "Da Vinci" front cover matches the head of the girl. Good work.
PS: no, my first look wasn't at the ... you know :D

Hello Mehmet. I think this might draw some criticism, but not really from me. First of all, I am assuming that topless sunbathing is accepted in Turkey (although I am surprised at this fact), so I think this fits in with the ethos of TE. Second, the fact that the women keep their anonymity makes all the difference as far as I am concerned. If they were identifiable from this shot I would say you had crossed the line from photographer to voyeur. You haven't, so it is ok in my book. Of course what makes this shot is how the face on the book is so perfectly placed in front of her. What is less appealing to me is the small bit of face of the other girl; it should be cropped so none of her face is in the photo, not for keeping her identity a secret, just because the awkward crop is not appealing. I am guessing they didn't know their shot was being taken, but seeing as you were using a shortish lens, they probably weren't too worried. Looking a little more at it, a crop from the right would just balance the shot out much better IMO, in addition to dealing with the awkward crop. Interesting photo.

Funny how the woman gets Da Vinci face!
Good shot. The crop is OK for me.

I don't know how she does it! How can she put the book so perfectly positioned so that the cover merges with her own face?

Brilliant photo. I love how the books are. The closer book title is very interesting, especially considering how the face in the De Vinci code book is positioned perfectly on the other lady. Great composition. TFS.

Great eye. Most people will be looking at the two pairs, but right away I see what really makes the image interesting: the overlaying of the Mona Lisa book cover image on the reader's face.

Hey Mehmet,
What Darren said was pretty much spot on I thought. Perfect placement of the 'Da Vinci Code' book in front of her face, and if we look at the other book we can almost make a connection with that as well.

Excellent positioning of the book, and excellent juxtapositioning with the next title 'I don't know how she does it'... both fit together so amazingly well! What an exquisite capture! Congrats!!

Merhabalar,
Müthiş bir kare. Konuşan kitaplar... Bir kitap kızın yüzüne tam otururken, diğeri bunu nasıl yaptığını bilmiyorum diyor.
Bu kadar olur.
Bunu yakalamak gerçekten müthiş.
Bunu nasıl başardığını bizimle paylaşmanı isterim.
Tebrikler.

Hello, I liked very much for the same reasons than other guys, above me. Regarding the fact that some of them think that you are a voyeur, I am not sure ... Obviously, these girls are not afraid to show their body...Did you tried the cropped version with only the head and the hand ?
Zandell
(241) 2006-12-22 11:54
The face on the book perfectly sized with the face of reader..
Interesting angle..
You can try to crop everything and left only the hand with the Brown's book and the head...

Wow great photo. I love the allignment of the cover of the book with her face... for me this makes the photo.
fullyarmdvishnu (48) 2006-12-30 0:12
This is a very good photo, both because of the slight nudity and the congruity between the woman and the book. It gives the appearance that the woman on the cover is staring at you with some reproach.
Both the original and the crop would be at home in the pages of National Geographic Magazine.

This is just plain gratuitous. Everyone here knows they like the photo because of the tits and not the congruency of the book cover to the woman's covered face. Can you please post sexist photos like these on a website in which people want to learn about the world, not for male photographers who just want to get off by seeing these kinds of images? There are other websites specifically for that.

Hello Mehmet,
I think that this picture would have been excellent with only the woman at left ... but the breast of the woman at right is so nice ... ;-)

I agree with the commentator that this is not the place to express this type of "art." There are so many more appropriate "beauties" to see & capture in Turkey!
rogeca (177) 2007-02-27 15:13
Excellent coup d'oeil et bon reflêxe du photographe qui sait shooter au bon moment.
Bravo.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That is my only explanation for how this OK shot has garnered 58 points and 7 favourites so far.
While there is some interest in the way the Mona Lisa lines up with your model's face (one point for that), I'm unimpressed overall. A different crop (I like faraujo's workshop) and perhaps a change in colour balance may bring out something I'm missing, but as it stands I have no doubt that it's the breasts that have drawn in these viewers.
Is the shot gratuitous? With no accompanying note I can only guess at the photographer's intention (please include a note!). Some of the critique's, however, bring to mind images of boys with their tongues hanging out at the sight of a nipple. This is certainly not in line with TE's intentions. Grow up boys!

Merhaba Mehmet,
I really liked how the book exactly covering the woman's face and the other cover is just hilarious. Very well done seeing and capturing the moment. Seeing breasts is fine with me. As it is a daily life on a beach no problem with TE rules either. I take it as a photography some of you see it as a sex object. It all matters on the intention I beleive. Ellerine saglik.
Greetings,
Ahmet

If somebody does n't bother for nudity, then why the botheration only with the photographer. Culture and test may vary from person to person or place to place. Camera can exploit the sex if it is picturesque. We never say mermaid sculpture is vulgar or the famous 'Kiss'.Nudity can be an ethnic piece of beauty. This picture is not a very good piece of Art, but carry a story.

A very good composition...The woman who has the Da Vinci Book keeps most of the attention on her and the other one who has a book which is "I don't know how she does it" creates a funny composition from my point of view.
A very enjoyable photo for everybody...:)))

"A Pulse-Quickening, Brain-Teasing Aventure..." a quote from People Magazine...about the The Da Vinci Code!
Let's say the image ssssspeaks for itselffff. A clever humorous shot, nicely done, not at all seen as 'voyeur'...
Cheers!

Perfect kept for your picture.
The face in the book fits "not exactely" the face of the woman but I find that this small "disallignement" makes the crop of the photo "human" and wonderful.
The topless generates (of course) distraction. ... Nice distraction I must say... After all, one cannot ask to people to dress otherwise as they want...
Probably a cut off of the second woman would be better.

I think this is a creative shot. Well done. The crop of just the woman on the left worked for me as well.
