Photographer’s Note
It has been built at the end of 13th century to be able to control the entrance of the Black Sea by the Genois. Then Ottoman took the control of this castle. It has been used as an observation, communication and customs center and it was completely abandoned in the 19th century. After the foundation of the republic in Turkey, it became a military zone and entrance was forbidden but after 1980's it has been opened to public again which affected the castle in a bad way.

Beautiful castle. I like the forest surounding it and the road leading to it. Well seen, well commented.
