Photographer’s Note
This picture was been taken in the early periods of the excavations of the antique city of Aphrodisias.
They still used petroleu lamps over night.
On the table atop it reads "photographying forbidden" !
A guard reads his newspaper in this dim light and to the left antique pieces very recently excavated.

Thank you for risking taking this picture. I love the warm glow of the kerosene lantern illuminating the ancient friese and sculpture. It makes for a special image.

There are too many subjects in there. I would have chosen one, cause we don't know where to look. Though, I like the light very much. Good one,
